Financial Stability Committee Meets Today Under the Leadership of Minister Şimşek
The Financial Stability Committee convened today under the chairmanship of the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek.
In a statement, it was noted that the macroeconomic outlook for the world and Turkey was comprehensively evaluated during the meeting, and "the short selling practices in our capital markets and the studies conducted on this matter were also discussed."
The statement following the meeting is as follows:
"The macroeconomic outlook for the world and Turkey has been comprehensively assessed. The Committee has addressed the overall outlook for commercial loans, particularly SME loans, and evaluated potential steps that can be taken. Additionally, the short selling practices in our capital markets and related studies have been discussed. The Committee continues its work with a holistic approach to maintain financial stability, which is one of the most important elements of sustainable growth."
