Central Counterparty Updates Risk Parameters Effective December 2nd

Foreks - Takasbank has updated the risk parameters used in the calculation of transaction collateral for the markets where it provides central counterparty or collateral management services, based on assessments that take market conditions into consideration. According to the announcement from Takasbank, the new risk parameters will be effective starting from the first risk calculation moment during the trading day on December 2, 2024.

The announcement stated: "Any potential increases or decreases in collateral obligations resulting from the changed parameters can be monitored through member screens following the first risk calculation process on December 2, 2024, and our members are required to undertake the necessary controls regarding their collateral obligations. The risk parameter file containing the new parameters will be announced on the Takasbank website as of the first risk calculation moment on December 2, 2024.

Corrections related to price and/or quantity for the underlying assets of share futures and options contracts traded on VİOP will be reflected in the risk parameters of the related share-based futures and options contracts. The real-time collateral completion call tracking on December 2, 2024, must be conducted according to the risk parameters dated November 29, 2024. The collateral completion call obligations calculated on the evening of December 2, 2024, will be based on the new parameters."
