Turkey and the United Kingdom have signed a memorandum of understanding on the "Energy and Climate Dialogue."

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, is in London for discussions. In a statement made from his X account, Bayraktar said, "We continue to systematically and decisively sign investments and agreements that will position our country in a central role in energy."

Bayraktar further stated, "We signed a memorandum of understanding on the 'Energy and Climate Dialogue' with the UK's Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband, covering important collaborations such as the transition to clean energy, low-carbon hydrogen economy, grid modernization, regional interconnections, and small modular reactors. I hope this agreement, which adds a new step towards our energy supply security and independence, will be beneficial for both countries."
