Sabancı Holding's Energy Company Takes Major Step with International Agreement

Sabancı Holding's subsidiary Enerjisa Üretim has undertaken an important international collaboration in the fields of renewable energy and hydrogen production. The leading private electricity producer in Turkey has signed a strategic agreement with HAW Hamburg CC4E, a prominent research institution in Germany. This agreement was formalized during the 6th Turkish-German Energy Forum held in Berlin, attended by Dr. Alparslan Bayraktar, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, and Dr. Robert Habeck, the Minister of Economics and Climate Protection of Germany. The signing ceremony was attended by Aziz Ünal, Deputy General Manager of Operations and Supply Chain representing Enerjisa Üretim, and Prof. Dr. Hans Schäfers, Vice President of HAW Hamburg CC4E.

As part of this collaboration, two significant projects aimed at supporting sustainable energy transition are set to be launched. The first project will involve research on hydrogen production, evaluating different methods in terms of cost, environmental impacts, and technological feasibility. These analyses aim to provide essential findings that will open new avenues in the energy sector. The second project involves the establishment of a research park in Turkey, intended to bring together technologies that enhance renewable energy systems, energy storage solutions, and grid stability.

In a statement after the signing ceremony, Aziz Ünal highlighted that their collaboration would significantly contribute to energy transition. He expressed pride in strengthening international collaborations in such projects, stating, "This cooperation with HAW Hamburg CC4E is an important step for the future of sustainable energy. We believe these projects will not only enhance Turkey's renewable energy capacity but also reinforce competitiveness in energy technologies internationally." Ünal also congratulated all the team members who contributed to the collaboration and expressed belief that such initiatives would pave the way for more innovative and environmentally friendly projects in the future. The emphasis was placed on Enerjisa Üretim's goal of developing sustainable and innovative solutions in the energy field through these comprehensive projects.

The agreement between Enerjisa Üretim and HAW Hamburg CC4E once again underscores the significance of international collaborations in the energy sector. This important partnership is expected to contribute to the energy policies of both countries and inspire innovative efforts within the industry.
