Koç Holding/Çakıroğlu: "We Trust in Our Country's Future and Continue Our Investments with a Long-Term Perspective"
The 32nd traditional Anatolian Meetings organized by the Koç Group to exchange views with its dealers was held in Çanakkale.
A total of nearly 500 dealers from Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Bursa, Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ gathered for the event, which featured opening speeches by Ömer M. Koç, Chairman of Koç Holding, and Levent Çakıroğlu, CEO of Koç Holding. In a session moderated by Ahmet Çimenoğlu, Coordinator of Economic Research at Koç Holding, TÜSİAD Chief Economist Gizem Öztok Altınsaç and Hakan Güldağ, Chairman of Ekonomi Gazetesi, evaluated the economic agenda.
Ömer M. Koç stated, “As we have in the past, we will walk hand in hand with you, our valued dealers and service organization, in our second century as well.”
In his opening speech addressing the dealers, Ömer M. Koç noted, “As Koç Group, we are a Republic institution preparing to celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2026, with our history, the values we advocate, and our goals. On this path, defined by the late Vehbi Koç’s words, ‘If I have my country, I exist; if there is democracy, we all exist,’ we will walk hand in hand with you in our second century as we did in the past.”
Ömer M. Koç remarked on the significance of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's motto, “Peace at Home, Peace in the World,” while evaluating the global and national political and economic developments. He indicated that 2024 would be a year where the conflict environment surrounding Turkey would expand, stating, “As our surroundings turn into a ring of fire, we understand the wisdom and value of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's motto, ‘Peace at Home, Peace in the World’ once again.”
He noted that in 2024, inflation in the global economy is projected to decrease, nearing the annual target of 2% set by many countries’ central banks, following which central banks have started to lower their interest rates. Ömer M. Koç mentioned, “It is expected that inflation will continue to decline globally next year, and growth will proceed at a similar rate as this year.” He also highlighted that geopolitical tensions, protectionist measures limiting international trade and investments, technology wars, and disruptions in supply chains emerge as significant risks for 2025.
Levent Çakıroğlu stated, “We have become a multinational community.”
Speaking to Koç Group dealers at the Anatolian Meetings, CEO Levent Çakıroğlu mentioned that they provide services with over 500 dealers and bank branches across the provinces of Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Bursa, Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ and emphasized, “You are our business partners who carry the century-old strength and values represented by our Group directly to our customers every day.”
Pointing out that they will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Koç Group in 2026, Çakıroğlu said, “In the second century of our Group, we will continue to work with all our strength, embracing the values of the Republic and being responsible for achieving even better.” He highlighted that they manage their operations with a vision of global growth, expressing, “We have become a multinational community. With 132,000 colleagues, 42,000 of whom are abroad, we operate in 60 countries with our production and sales companies. In our offices, 45 languages are spoken, and 45 different currencies are managed.”
Levent Çakıroğlu added, “Despite all the challenges we face, as Koç Group, we trust in the future of our country and continue our investments with a long-term perspective.” He concluded by stating, “We steadily continue to grow our businesses and invest in new products across all sectors in which we operate.”
