HKT to be Held for Tüpraş's Kırıkkale Refinery's Unlicensed Solar Power Project

A Public Participation Meeting will be held for the planned unlicensed Solar Energy Plant (GES) project at the Kırıkkale Refinery by Tüpraş (IS:TUPRS).

In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permission and Inspection, the following information was provided: "The Environmental Impact Assessment process has started for the Tüpraş Kırıkkale Refinery Unlicensed Solar Energy Plant project (50 MWp/50 MWe - 84.3 ha), planned to be established by Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.Ş. within the borders of the Central district of Kırıkkale province, and the Environmental Impact Assessment Application File has been opened for public review. A Public Participation Meeting will be organized on 24/12/2024 in accordance with Article 9 of the EIA Regulation to inform the public about the project and to gather their opinions and suggestions. Those who wish to examine the EIA Application File can review the report at the Ministry's Headquarters or the Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization from the announcement date, and they can provide their views to the Ministry or the Governorship within the scheduled calendar regarding the project. Information regarding the location and time of the Public Participation Meeting can be obtained from the General Directorate of EIA Permission and Inspection and the Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change."
