China and Russia Conduct Joint Air Patrol Over the Sea of Japan
Chinese state television CCTV reported that the Chinese and Russian armed forces conducted their ninth joint strategic air patrol over the "relevant airspace" over the Sea of Japan on Friday. The air patrol is part of the annual cooperation plan between the two countries. In July, both militaries had conducted a joint air patrol using nuclear-capable strategic bombers near the state of Alaska in the North Pacific and Arctic, which led to the activation of fighter jets from the US and Canada.
