"Ford Otosan Receives 'Positive EIA' Decision for Kocaeli Solar Power Plant Project"

The "Positive EIA" decision has been issued for the Ford Otosan Kocaeli Solar Power Plant project. In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permission, and Supervision, it was specified that:

"The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report submitted to our Ministry for the FORD OTOSAN KOCAELİ SOLAR POWER PLANT - 3 (Installed Power 28 MWe/39 MWm and Area 42.88 hectares) planned to be carried out by FORD OTOMOTİV SANAYİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ within the borders of BOĞAZİÇİ AND ÇALLICA VILLAGES, CENTRAL District of BURDUR Province has been examined and evaluated by the Commission for Reviewing and Evaluating the EIA Report. In accordance with Article 14 of the EIA Regulation, taking into account the Commission's works and the opinions of the public, our Ministry has issued a 'Positive Environmental Impact Assessment Decision'; this decision must be announced to the public by the Governorship of BURDUR (Directorate of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change). Additionally, compliance with the relevant provisions of the regulations enacted under the Environmental Law No. 2872 regarding the Final EIA Report and the matters specified in its annexes is required, as well as obtaining the necessary permissions from the relevant institutions/organizations in accordance with the applicable legislation."
