Top Executive Appointments Made at Akkök Holding and Aksa Akrilik

As of January 1, 2025, Cengiz Taş, the General Manager of Aksa Akrilik (IS:AKSA), has been appointed as the Group President of Chemicals and Advanced Materials at Akkök Holding, while Didem Tunçbilek has been appointed as the General Manager of Aksa Akrilik.

Akkök Holding established the Group Presidency of Chemicals and Advanced Materials to enhance the focus and growth potential of its chemical companies within the framework of its strategic growth objectives in the chemical and advanced materials sector.

Cengiz Taş, who has achieved significant successes at various levels within Akkök Holding since 1991 and has served as the General Manager of Aksa Akrilik since 2011, has been appointed to this new role. The Group President of Chemicals and Advanced Materials at Akkök Holding comprises Aksa Akrilik, Akkim Kimya, DowAksa, Akcoat, Epsilon Kompozit, and Ak-Pa companies.

Didem Tunçbilek, the Business Development Director at Aksa Akrilik, who has led many successful projects in marketing and sales for the past 26 years, has been appointed as the General Manager of Aksa Akrilik.

Cengiz Taş was born in Bursa in 1966 and graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1989. He began his career in 1989 as an Investment Planning Engineer at Kordsa. In 1991, he took on the role of Budget Specialist at Ak-Al Tekstil Sanayii A.Ş., a company of Akkök Holding, and subsequently served as Budget Chief, Budget Manager, Production Coordinator, Deputy General Manager responsible for Planning, and from 2004 to 2011, as General Manager. Since 2011, he has served as a Board Member and General Manager of Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş. He has been appointed Group President of Chemicals and Advanced Materials at Akkök Holding as of January 1, 2025.

Cengiz Taş also serves on the Boards of Directors of Akkök Holding Group Companies and continues to work as a Board Member at the Turkish Textile Employers' Union.

Didem Tunçbilek graduated from the Middle East Technical University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and started her career as a Technology Engineer at Aksa Akrilik. Over the years, she has worked in various departments within Aksa Akrilik.

Her diverse experiences, from engineering to product development, marketing and sales, to business development, have made her a successful leader in achieving Aksa Akrilik’s innovative and sustainable growth targets. Since 2019, she has served as the Business Development Director at Aksa Akrilik and has been appointed as the General Manager as of January 1, 2025.
