Air France-KLM to Acquire Stake in Spanish Airline Air Europa
According to a report, Air France-KLM is in talks to acquire up to a 20% stake in Air Europa following regulatory opposition to IAG SA's planned takeover of the Spanish airline. The report states that the deal will be worth more than 100 million Euros and will not require regulatory approval from the European Union. A spokesperson for Air France declined to comment on a potential stake acquisition and stated that discussions for "commercial cooperation" with Air Europa are ongoing.
