Istanbul Stock Exchange Kicks Off the Day with Gains: Which Stocks Took the Spotlight at Opening?
The BIST 100 index began the day with a rise of 0.98%, starting at 9,730.98 points. The BIST 100 recorded a decline of 0.25% in yesterday's trading, closing the day at 9,636.12 points. During the day, the index reached a low of 9,576.59 points and climbed to a high of 9,691.57 points. With today's positive opening, the dollar-based price of the BIST 100 index has stepped into the 280 dollar range. The total trading volume of the stocks included in the BIST 100 reached 91 billion TL, accounting for approximately 73.8% of the total volume.
While gains were preserved in the initial trades of the BIST, the index excluding BIST 100 also started the day with a half-point rise. In Borsa Istanbul, the food, banking, and SME sectors saw the most upward movement at the beginning of the day, while insurance was the only sector that started the day in the negative.

In the domestic currency market, while the dollar/TL continues to rise moderately, the parity was trading at 34.66 with a 0.15% increase in the morning hours. Euro/TL opened flat at 36.4, while gram gold saw a rise of 1.35%, reaching 2,950 TL.
In the foreign stock markets, Asian indices are preparing for a positive close, while the Japanese and South Korean stock markets moved negatively. Yesterday, European indices diverged negatively from the US stock market. In the morning hours, the US and European futures indices were observed to be slightly up.
