Corporate Tax Exemption Rate on Gains from the Sale of Investment Fund Shares Reduced

Forex - The exemption rate for corporate income tax on gains derived from the sale of investment fund shares has been reduced.

The Presidential decision regarding the "Amendment of the Exemption Rate in the First Paragraph (e) of Article 5 of the Corporate Tax Law No. 5520" has been published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, an amendment has been made to the exemption rate applied to gains derived from the sale of investment fund shares outlined in Article 5 of the corporate tax law.

As a result, the exemption rate applied to gains obtained from the sale of investment fund shares held by corporations for at least two full years, which includes the shares of affiliates, founding certificates, income certificates, preferred rights, and the exemption gains falling under item (a) of the same article, has been reduced from 75% to 50%.
