S&P 500 Expected to Rise 8% by Year-End
Forecasters predict that the S&P 500 index will rise by over 8% from today until the end of 2025. According to a survey conducted among stock strategists, market participants believe that Trump's tax cuts and deregulation agenda will support economic growth and lead to further gains in the market.
The median forecast from 48 stock strategists, analysts, brokers, and portfolio managers gathered between November 15-26 suggests that the benchmark S&P 500 will finish 2025 at 6,500 points, indicating an approximate increase of 8.5% compared to yesterday's close. In a survey conducted in August, the prediction for the S&P 500 at the end of 2025 was 5,900 points.
Following the presidential elections on November 5, where Republican Trump regained his position four years after being ousted from the White House, stock prices reached record levels. The S&P 500 has seen an approximately 26% increase so far in 2024.
