Public Consultation Opened for Akfen Electricity's Gelinkaya Solar Power Plant Project Environmental Impact Report
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report related to the Gelinkaya Solar Power Plant project planned by Akfen Electric Energy has been opened for public comment.
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, the following information was provided:
"The Environmental Impact Assessment process has commenced for the GELİNKAYA SOLAR POWER PLANT (35.75 MWm / 30 MWe - 44.88 ha) and ELECTRICITY STORAGE FACILITY (30 MWe / 60 MWh) project planned by AKFEN ELEKTRİK ENERJİSİ TOPTAN SATIŞ A.Ş. within the boundaries of AŞKALE district in ERZURUM province, and the EIA Application File has been opened for public review.
In accordance with Article 9 of the EIA Regulation, a Public Participation Meeting will be held on 12/12/2024 to inform the public about the project and to gather opinions and suggestions. Those wishing to examine the EIA Application File can review the report at the Ministry's Central Office or at the ERZURUM Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanization from the announcement date, and can provide feedback to the Ministry or the Governor's Office within the scheduled timeline regarding the project.
Information about the date and location of the Public Participation Meeting can be obtained from the General Directorate of EIA and from the ERZURUM Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change."
