SOCAR Marine Earns International ISCC EU Certification

SOCAR Marine, aligned with its sustainability strategy, has earned the ISCC EU (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). The statement mentioned:

"By obtaining this certification, SOCAR Marine, a subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey, has demonstrated its success in the sustainable production and supply chain of biomass, biofuels, and other renewable raw materials on an international scale. The ISCC EU certification not only certifies SOCAR Marine's commitment to environmental and social responsibility in its production processes but also highlights its contribution to a transparent and sustainable global supply chain.

This certification enables SOCAR Marine to engage in biomass trading with a holistic approach that supports its commitment to environmental sustainability as well as social and economic sustainability goals.

Petkim (IS: PETKM) also holds the ISCC PLUS Certification. As part of SOCAR Turkey's group of companies, Petkim has played a pioneering role in sustainability with the ISCC PLUS certification since 2022. Petkim transparently ensures the traceability of products made from sustainable raw materials throughout the supply chain.

Petkim produces circular and bio-circular products by processing naphtha derivatives obtained from used cooking oils and plastic waste using the mass balance methodology. In this context, it supports sustainable production with low-carbon-footprint products, including Ethylene, Propylene, LDPE, PP, ACN, Benzene, C5, and Xylene."
