CBRT: Annual Inflation Expectation for Households in 12 Months at 64.1%

Foreks - The 12-month ahead annual inflation expectation for households has been set at 64.1%. According to the statement from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the 12-month ahead annual inflation expectation for the real sector has been realized at 47.8%.

The statement noted: "The Market Participants Survey, the Economic Sentiment Survey, and the Consumer Trends Survey conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute have compiled the 12-month ahead annual consumer inflation expectations of financial and real sector experts, manufacturing industry firms, and households to derive Sectoral Inflation Expectations."

For November 2024, the 12-month ahead annual inflation expectations have decreased by 0.2 points to 27.2% for market participants, by 1.7 points to 47.8% for the real sector, and by 3.1 points to 64.1% for households.

The proportion of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months has dropped by 2.0 points from the previous month, settling at 26.3%.
