Bayraktar: Turkey-Somalia Relations Have Taken on a New Dimension

The Minister of Energy, Alparslan Bayraktar, announced that he hosted Mr. Sadak Omar Hassan, Chairman of the Somalia-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Mr. Abdürrahim Fırat, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Turkey-Somalia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, along with their delegation at his ministry.

In a statement made on X, Bayraktar said:

"The Turkey-Somalia relations, which derive their strength from the sincerity and genuineness between our peoples, gained a different dimension with the visit of our esteemed President in 2011. We demonstrate a joint effort and will at every level to enhance cooperation between our countries.

Our energy relations are one of the most crucial components of this. In this context, we see the seismic studies conducted by our Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel in Somalia as a turning point.

During our discussions, we addressed what we can do to further advance these good relations we maintain in all areas."
