No Official Ban on Using Gazprombank Credit Cards in Turkey

According to reports, Denizbank has received inquiries regarding issues with Gazprombank cards, but stated that there has been no official ban on the use of these cards in Turkey. On November 21, the United States imposed sanctions on Gazprombank and six foreign subsidiaries. Following its inclusion on the U.S. Treasury's sanctions list, Gazprombank warned its customers about issues related to the use of Union Pay cards abroad. On Saturday, Gazprombank sent a letter to its customers informing them that the connection of Gazprombank cards to the Union Pay payment system had been severed since November 21. Representatives from Denizbank, İş Bankası, and VakıfBank stated on Sunday that they had not received any official notification regarding a ban on transactions with Gazprombank cards and mentioned that the issue with cash withdrawals from ATMs was systematic.
