MIP Named Port Operator of the Year for the 14th Time

Foreks - Mersin International Port Management Inc. (MIP) has been awarded the title of "Port Operator of the Year" for the 14th consecutive time at the 15th edition of the 'Atlas Logistics Awards' held during the Logitrans International Transport and Logistics Fair.

The award ceremony for the "Atlas Logistics Awards" competition, hosted by the International Logitrans Transport Logistics Fair organized by EKO MMI Fairs, took place on November 21, 2024. The logistics sector showed significant interest in the award ceremony, where the awards were presented to the winners.

With the support of logistics sector media and non-governmental organizations, MIP once again achieved first place in the Port Operators category at the ongoing "Atlas Logistics Awards" competition. The award was received on behalf of MIP by Mehmet Halit Bezek, Group Manager of Conventional Cargo and Value-Added Services. In the Port Operators category, assessed based on criteria such as revenue, number of employees, and the quantity of containers and dry and liquid cargo handled, MIP, Turkey's Leading Port, was recognized as "Port Operator of the Year" due to its consistent increase in cargo throughput each year.

MIP General Manager Ajay Kumar Singh stated, "This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented employees, as well as our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional services to our customers and our determination to expand and modernize our facilities. Our new East Med Hub II (EMH2) project, which will increase our port's capacity from 2.6 million TEUs to 3.6 million TEUs by 2026, is a clear example of this."
