NATO Secretary General Rutte to Visit Turkey on November 25
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will pay his second official visit to Turkey. According to a statement from NATO, Rutte will arrive in Ankara on Monday, November 25, 2024. He will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler. The Secretary General will discuss with representatives from the Turkish defense industry and visit the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facilities. Additionally, he will lay a wreath at Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Atatürk. Rutte will not hold a press conference during his visit. He took office as NATO's new Secretary General at the end of June, following his predecessor Jens Stoltenberg.
